COVENTRY Rugby will take on Championship sides Jersey Reds and Rotherham Titans as part of their preparations for the new National League One season.

Cov’s build-up begins away at Leicester Lions on Thursday evening, August 3 in a game of three 30-minute periods as part of the National Two North club’s celebrations to mark the opening of their new clubhouse.

Cov visit Nuneaton’s Liberty Way ground the following Tuesday evening, August 8 before travelling to take on Jersey Reds at St Peter on Saturday, August 12 (kick-off to be confirmed).

Sale FC, who were beaten in the National Two promotion play-off at the end of last season, come to Butts Park Arena on Saturday, August 19 (3pm) in a double-header with a game between Cov’s Development side and Broadstreet (12.30pm).

Cov then play Newbold, newly promoted to National League Three, at Butts Park Arena on Saturday, August 26 (12.30pm) followed by a game against Rotherham Titans (3pm).

League fixtures begin on September 2 when Cov travel to Hull Ionians.
