What will I study?
This course will identify and develop talented 16-19 year old players who aspire to develop opportunities in rugby union. It is in partnership with Coventry Rugby Club and covers a variety of sports elements.

Additional Qualifications:
IRB Rugby Ready Qualification, IRB Scrum Factory Qualification, 1st4sport level 2 Award in Leadership through Rugby Union.

This course allows students to take full advantage of the sport and fitness facilities at Henley College Coventry. Weekly training sessions and fixtures will be conducted at Coventry Rugby Club facilities where students will also undertake part of their studies. Developing your technical, tactical, physiological and psychological skills. Strength & conditioning testing along with training programmes are also incorporated in to the weekly sessions.
What are the entry requirements?
Four GCSEs grade C or above or a BTEC First Diploma (at least 6 merits) in a related subject plus a positive academic reference and successful completion of an interview. All students must be willing to take part in a range of practical sport and exercise sessions.
What can I progress on to?
This course provides an educational and player pathway for talented rugby players to progress in to the Coventry Rugby Club 1st team & Development team squads. Opportunities to progress on to the DeMontford University foundation degree courses in partnership with Henley College Coventry, Employment Coaching and Leadership Coaching camps. Gaining valuable work experience working on the Coventry Community coaching camps offers the opportunity to enhance interpersonal skills for the work place and support coaching qualifications.
